When developing the Atomic Light, we wanted to use 3D printing not just as manufacturing technology, but to create a new kind of material with its very own properties. The result is lightweight, yet structurally very stable.
Atomic is a pendant lighting fixture that can be manually adjusted to control the output direction of the LEDs by pivoting the concentrically arranged rings.
By using the ability of additive manufacturing to print nested objects we could also lower the production cost.
