Braun aimed to develop a new series of shavers that offer different functionalities while maintaining the same form factor and design language.
To achieve this, Braun engineered an entirely new power drive and innovative mechanics for the head movement.
Working with scripted parametric CAD surfacing tools enabled us to design and iterate the dot pattern efficiently, while seamlessly sharing relevant data with the Braun engineering team.
The challenge in designing the updated Braun pattern was finding the right balance between a fluid, dynamic layout that flows around the organic handle and a clean, controlled aesthetic.
We also contributed to the design development of the cleaning station and the various shaver heads: the rigid head for Series 5, the SensoFlex head for Series 6, and the 360º Flex head for Series 7.
